Introducing Michigan’s One-Stop Shop Behavioral Health Campus
One-Stop Shop for Behavioral Health

What does it mean when we say Sanford Behavioral Health is a one-stop shop? It means we treat the whole person. Our integrative programs treat addiction, eating disorders, and related mental health conditions at the same time. Sanford’s multi-disciplinary team of experts communicates minute by minute, and Sanford West Behavioral Health Campus was designed to make cross-training and collaboration accessible and routine.
“The interdisciplinary team we have assembled is essential to successful outcomes because 90% of our patients have underlying psychiatric conditions. For example, someone with a substance use disorder might self-medicate their depression or anxiety. However, a substance use disorder can cause depression and anxiety; they are related, but one worsens the other. It is important to provide full medical, social, and psychiatric assessments for each patient to understand where they are coming from.” Gilbert Masterson, MD
Busting the Buzzwords
When navigating the complicated behavioral health system, we encounter people every day who are desperate, afraid, and confused. It is not surprising, given the bombardment of information, advertisements, and social media posts offering various options with incomprehensible buzzwords. At Sanford Behavioral Health, we practice what we preach. From the first call to the aftercare plan for long-term recovery, we address complex co-occurring or dual-diagnosis disorders with individualized and comprehensive care. Our full continuum includes residential, outpatient, and telehealth programs.
