The purpose of residential eating disorder treatment is to provide structure, safety and accountability with 24/7 nursing and clinical support. This degree of support reduces the harmful effects of eating disorders efficiently and starts individuals on their recovery path. We understand that the needs of each person seeking treatment are unique, and we work with patients and their families to support a safe transition out of residential treatment when the time is right. At Sanford Comprehensive Treatment for Eating Disorders (SCTED), our full continuum of care includes:

Eating Disorder Treatment – Take the Residential Tour
At SCTED, we deliver a person-centered and trauma-informed eating disorder treatment program, from residential throughout the recovery process. We treat:
- Anorexia Nervosa
- Avoidant Restrictive Food and Intake Disorder (ARFID – Outpatient Only)
- Bulimia Nervosa
- Binge Eating Disorder

Eating disorders can occur in individuals of all ages, genders, and body types, and are progressive in nature. At SCTED we treat both adolescents and adults and offer outpatient (OP), intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP) and residential treatment (for adult women). Our continuum of care allows the individuals we treat to enter a program at the level that is appropriate for their symptoms. In-person and telehealth options are available.
