Sanford West Behavioral Health Campus
Our flagship campus is located on 18 acres in Marne, Michigan, just 12 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. Sanford West brings psychiatry, medicine, therapy, nutrition, and recreation together under one roof, allowing patients to address mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and eating disorders in one setting. It's also home to Sanfordโs Spravatoยฎ Clinic, offering FDA-approved esketamine treatment for patients with treatment-resistant depression.ย

- Comprehensive Treatment for Eating Disorders (CTED): Full continuum of care, including residential, PHPs, IOPs, and outpatient programs for eating disorders.ย
- Outpatient Center: Flexible addiction and mental health treatment for adults, with PHPs, IOPs, and outpatient therapy offered in-person or via telehealth.ย
- Virtual Programs: Statewide telehealth services for addiction, eating disorders, and mental health needs, including our family program.ย

J.O.H.N. (Just One Hero Needed)
Sanfordโs J.O.H.N. program is designed exclusively for veterans and first responders. Located in a restored historic home in Grand Rapids, MI, it provides trauma-informed, mission-focused care in a secure and respectful environment. Staff members bring lived experience and strong ties to the military and first responder communities.ย
Levels of care at J.O.H.N. include:ย
- Residential treatment (18+ adults)ย
- 24/7 nursing and medical supportย
- Trauma-focused therapy for PTSD and co-occurring conditionsย
- Mental health services and addiction treatmentย
Opening soon, J.O.H.N. will accommodate 18 adults and provide specialized care for addiction, PTSD, mental health, and eating disorders.ย
