The Gripe Session Continues: Mental Health Working Moms, Episode 2

The gripe gals are back (and multiplying)!
The gripe gals are back in Episode 2 of the Mental Health Working Moms’ Gripe Session Podcast. The podcast is a candid, funny, and compassionate space created by moms for moms. Our host is Sanford Behavioral Health CEO Tracy Rogers, LPC, LMHC, NCC. Significantly, Tracy is the mother of an 11-year-old boy who spent much of his early childhood in a ‘couch crib’ in the C-suite. (More on that in Episode 1).
This time around, COO Katie Vokes takes the lead, and Tracy offers advice to those with younger kids. She says, “Don’t do it. Don’t make work 80% and family 20%. You can’t pay for the time you miss.” Also featured in episode 2 is returning guest Senior Director of Strategic Growth Rebecca Wolfslau, LPC. New to the pod are art therapist Janna VanderBand and Director of Nursing, Kate Hanna.
The participants’ children range from toddlers to adults. Highlights include Dad summer, finding your village, crying while giving babysitting instructions to grandpa, loved ones getting the leftovers, and more. Together, Sanford’s moms bring not only professional expertise in mental health but also firsthand experience of what it means to love your child and love your leadership role.
