Samarth Bhandari, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Bhandari is Sanford Behavioral Health’s Medical Director. As a psychiatrist, he leads and guides the medical staff and the entire collaborative care team and supervises all medical activities. He is also responsible for developing medical policies and procedures and ensuring Sanford complies with healthcare regulations and safety standards. As a psych-first source for comprehensive mental health solutions, Sanford’s team relies on Dr. Bhandari’s expertise and calming influence.

In his free time, Dr. Bhandari enjoys appreciating and making music.  He also has a keen interest in environmental science and sustainability and enjoys the great outdoors: gardening, hiking, snowboarding, motorcycles, and kayaking.
