Sanford West Behavioral Health Campus – the Wood TV Interview
Our seasoned team has fully functioned at Sanford West Behavioral Health Campus since January 2022. Our signature addiction treatment centers in Grand Rapids, Michigan, have been operational since 2015; however, Sanford West is still a relatively new facility, with programs rolling out regularly. We want to thank Rachael Ruiz and eightWest Wood TV for their interest and for recognizing that Sanford Behavioral Health is “offering help and services you won’t find anywhere else in the state.”
Benefits of Opening Sanford West
The growth of Sanford Behavioral Health with the opening of Sanford West Campus has allowed us to assemble a multi-disciplinary team that is medically and clinically on the cutting edge of treatment. It also qualifies Sanford to take on a variety of diagnoses, including substance use disorders, mental health, and eating disorders. So often, these disorders are co-occurring, and we can treat them integratively. This means we are looking at all facets of the disease in a unified manner and improving long-term outcomes.
EightWest’s Rachael Ruiz sat down with Sanford Founder and President Rae Green for an update. In the five-minute video below, they talk about stigma, levels of care for mental health conditions, and plans for Sanford West Behavioral Health Campus.
“One of our main goals is to encourage the concept that substance use disorders, eating disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions should get the same level of respect and treatment as our physical health.” Rae Green, JD, LPC, CAADC
