50 Things I Love About Sobriety (Don’t Even Get Me Started…)
Yes, I love just about everything associated with sobriety (even though, being a grownup can be a little difficult at timesโฆ). Let me count the ways.
I love:
- The mornings
- My hair, nails and skin
- Having a memory
- Not being afraid or regretful of what I rememberโฆ
- The free time
- No bags under my eyes
- Sharing at meetings
- Living without lying
- Newfound good manners
- Rekindled relationships
- Making appointments
I adore…
- Getting there on time
- Answering the phone and the doorbell with impunity
- Eating and tasting my food
- Being ever so humble and gratefulโฆ
- Sleeping, not passing out
- Getting along with my significant other (if I had oneโฆ)
- Not fearing police lights in the rearview mirrorโฆ
- Making good choices
- Staying awake through the whole movie
- Coffee, candy, lotto tickets (sorry)
- My job and my paycheck
- Hanging with my kids!
- Paying bills on time
- Being proud of myself (not cocky โ just proud)
- Being there for milestones
- My family, friends and colleagues!
- Taking back the night
- Hand/eye coordination and balance

- Cooking without burning the pan
- Working out again!
- The money saved
- Yoga and Pilates classes
- Church, meditation and quiet timeโฆ
- Reading comprehension
- Accountability
- The fact the room/bed does not spin
- Not having whiskey breath or wine halitosis
- Not consuming empty calories (okay, the occasional chocolate bar)
- My self-esteem!!
- Going for a long walk

- Not having lipstick on my teeth
