Ellen M. Laubacher, LMSW
Clinical Manager, Sanford Outpatient Center
Ellen Sork loves social work. That love was sparked by a two year stint in a Michigan mental health facility. Ellen also has a personal understanding of addiction. Because it has impacted her life and the lives of those around her. Ellen strives daily to offer support, compassion and education to those with substance use disorders.
To that end, Ellen works in the Sanford Outpatient Center. In IOP she facilitates group therapy and meets with individuals, both in-person and via telehealth. She says, “I truly love seeing the transformation in our clients.” Ellen also likes being a part of the supportive community formed by those in recovery. Ellen was also featured in a presentation on Healthy Boundaries: the Freedom of Setting Limits, for Families Against Narcotics (FAN).
In her free time Ellen enjoys hiking, camping and anything out of doors. She is also a musician. And she plays 7 instruments! As you can imagine, that takes up a great deal of her time outside of work.
Ellen says, “Sanford helps to provide the building blocks for a victorious life filled with hope. Recovery is within the grasp of anyone who walks through our doors.”
