Breaking Stigma, Opening Doors: Mental Health Residential Open House!

Next week, we plan to open our doors and invite behavioral health professionals, students, Sanford’s preferred referral sources, and the community to tour our facility and meet the team.
More than one in five American adults lives with a mental illness. Only about half of those with a mental illness receive treatment. At Sanford Behavioral Health, our mission includes breaking stigma and providing access to care. A significant benefit of becoming a Sanford client is that we can assess and transition an individual through all stages of treatment within the same building, at the same location, and with the same psychiatrist and clinical team. Consequently, once someone is part of the Sanford system, regardless of what transpires throughout their lifetime of recovery, they have a powerful alliance.
We are proud of our Mental Health Residential Program, announced earlier this year. At Sanford Behavioral Health, we now offer a range of mental health programs, including residential, intensive outpatient programs, as well as virtual and two- to four-week “tune-ups.” Sanford treatment teams (provider and therapist) determine which program is best for each client. For example, the medical provider team approves transfers from detox into the mental health or substance use disorder programs.
Next week, we plan to open our doors and invite behavioral health professionals, students, Sanford’s preferred referral sources, and the community to tour our facility and meet the team.
