4 Good Reasons to Choose Residential Treatment for Eating Disorders
1. Quality of Life
At Sanford Behavioral Health, we ask the question, “Who were you meant to be before an eating disorder happened?” Eating disorders can take the joy out of life and overshadow school, sports, relationships, and interests. Our residential treatment provides structure, safety, and accountability with 24-hour nursing and clinical support. Sanford West Behavioral Health Campus also offers treatment for co-occurring disorders like anxiety, addiction, depression, and more.
2. Lack of Support
You are not alone (even though it may feel that way). Working with the multi-disciplinary team at SCTED will offer dynamic programs, including excursions in the local community to practice new skills. You will meet others who understand what you are experiencing.
3. Medical Complications
Eating disorders are complex conditions with some of the highest medical complications of any psychiatric diagnosis. A team of experts from different disciplines best provides the most effective treatment. Medical monitoring and stabilization, nutritional intervention, and psychological support are essential to the residential treatment process.
4. Other Methods of Treatment are Not Working
Have you told yourself, “Today will be different,” and the negative behavior patterns keep happening? Have you tried outpatient therapy or virtual programs to no avail? Our experienced professionals utilize evidence-based techniques and a personalized approach to address each patientโs needs. We offer a range of treatment modalities, including medical monitoring, individual therapy, group therapy, nutrition counseling, and family therapy.
