Sanford Behavioral Health is proud to announce that we are now in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) for all levels of mental health and substance use disorder treatment. BCBS is the largest health insurer in Michigan, serving 4.5 million individuals in this state alone.
Our commitment is to offer outstanding recovery services in Michigan. We are very pleased we can now offer these services to Blue Cross Blue Shield members.

In-Network Benefits
According to the Milliman Research Report (August 13, 2020), 23% of adults 18 or over have a mental health condition or substance use disorder. Consequently, Sanford is now able to serve a wider range of patients in both Michigan and other states with BCBS in-network benefits. And we are also able to reduce costs for those individuals, removing barriers to treatment.
We are now in-network with BCBS, and it will reduce costs for patients coming into treatment.ย This is the way healthcare should be done. It will make an impact on individuals’ lives and give emphasis to the medical model of treatment for mental health and substance use disorders. Let’s get people into well-needed treatment!
