Rebecca Wolfslau, LPC
Senior Director of Strategic Growth and Development
Rebecca Wolfslau has a master’s degree in professional counseling from Webster University. Prior to getting her master’s, she worked as a direct care staff member in eating disorder treatment. Rebecca enjoys supporting clients and holding onto hope for them during challenging times because she believes every person deserves the opportunity for a meaningful life. Over the last decade, she has discovered a passion forย clinical operations, admissions, and organizational growth. With experience, Rebecca has come to understand the importance of supporting clients and families from a clinical perspective while ensuring that programming runsย smoothly.ย
As a therapist, Rebecca has special training in trauma-informed care, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic Experiencing (SE). She says no detail is too small when it comes to providing safety and comfort to individuals in our care who are hurting, from the first phone call to the last exit survey. As Senior Director of Strategic Growth and Development at Sanford, Rebecca collaborates with the admissions and outreach teams to interface with clients, families, referral sources, and Sanford staff, driving growth initiatives.ย This unique position allows Rebecca to support the people who support the clients.ย
When she isn’t working, Rebecca enjoys spendingย time with her 5-year-old daughter, Kyler, and her amazing group of friends. She also enjoys reading (super nerdy) books on business development or listening to live music.
Rebecca Wolfslau says, “Our nervous systems are incredibly resilient. Clients sometimes arrive at treatment feeling hopeless because, for years, they have developed behaviors to numb the pain. However, if a client created those behaviors for protection, there is hope that they can make new, adaptive behaviors. We are malleable, we are evolving, we are growing, and life can be different and better for those who ask for the help they need.”
