LinkedIn Profile

Monica Ziebell’s career in finance has given her the opportunity to work in a variety of organizations and develop a strong foundation in financial leadership, accounting, and strategic decision-making. At one of those companies, she worked with Sanford CEO Tracy Rogers, who introduced her to Sanford Behavioral Health. Monica was drawn to the organization’s mission and the meaningful impact it has on individuals, families, and the community through behavioral health services.

Throughout her career, Monica has enjoyed roles that allow her to combine financial expertise with collaboration, problem-solving, and a focus on the bigger picture. Her interest in behavioral health grew from recognizing how closely mental health connects to overall well-being and quality of life. Monica is grateful for the opportunity to bring her experience to Sanford and join a team making a meaningful difference in the lives of those served. An accomplishment Monica is most proud of is being invited to work alongside former leaders and colleagues again. Having someone reach out to say, “I want to work with you again; come join my team,” is one of her greatest compliments. She says it reflects the trust, relationships, and reputation she has built throughout her career and means more than any formal recognition or award.

As Controller at Sanford Behavioral Health, Monica is rewarded by knowing that strong financial stewardship helps support the organization’s broader goals and ensures we can continue providing high-quality behavioral health services. She enjoys the strategic nature of the work, collaborating across the organization, and helping position Sanford for continued growth and long-term success. In her free time, Monica enjoys exploring new restaurants with her husband, spending time outdoors hiking and kayaking, and hanging out with her boxer, Nash.

Monica says, “I am passionate about working in behavioral health because of its profound impact on individuals, families, and communities. Few areas of healthcare touch so many lives, either directly or indirectly, and I value the opportunity to contribute to a field that is essential to overall health, well-being, and quality of life.”Â
