Pastor Tim Tuthill, MSW, MDIV

Adjunct Counselor

Tim Tuthill graduated from Grand Valley State University “back when it was a tiny school in Allendale, Michigan”. He continued his studies at Southern Methodist University, earning a Master in Divinity. Tim worked in local churches in Dallas, Texas; Mason and East Lansing Michigan and while there, started support groups in his local community, assessing human needs.

Tim went on to pursue his MSW from Michigan State University before moving to Grand Rapids. Tim is currently the Associate Pastor at Grand Rapids First Methodist Church and is an adjunct faculty member at Grand Valley State University. At Sanford, Pastor Tim assists individuals in finding “that place of belonging” through conversations, understanding feeling and finding the “sacred true life moments”. Through his weekly groups, Tim helps individuals find a better sense of self and process in recovery.
