Matthew A. McClellan

Director of Human Resources

Matthew McClellan graduated from Central Michigan University with a BS/BA, with a focus on Human Resources Management. He has been in the Human Resources field for 18+ years, working in various industries, learning different trends and best practices, and developing his leadership style. He has been able to work with a multitude of executive teams throughout those industries. Matthew has experience leading and working with executive/leadership teams through organizational development and strategic planning.

Matthew says, “I love the fact that we get to be innovative in what we do. The growth of Sanford over the past several years has laid a foundation for us to be creative through trials and tribulations. Though my team does not directly get involved with the client’s care, we get the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our co-workers, which indirectly impacts the overall good of what Sanford is all about. We get to give back to individuals, families, and the community through the work that we do here at Sanford. There is not a more fulfilling feeling than knowing you’re making a true impact and difference in someone’s life.”

When not at Sanford, Matthew enjoys spending time with his two amazing daughters and soaking up every moment he can with them. He is always up for an adventure and loves to be outside doing almost anything, from landscaping/gardening to taking a bike ride to paddleboarding adventures on the water in the summer.
