Whittni Benjamin completed her bachelors degree in Human Service Management from The University of Phoenix and her masters degree in Clinical Counseling from Spring Arbor University. Whittni is a certified addictions counselor and trauma professional. She is trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Auricular Acupuncture.
Whittni has been working in the field of addictions for over six years. She also works with adults, adolescents, and families for both substance use and mental health conditions. She has worked with the criminal justice population, incarcerated individuals, and those receiving medically assisted treatment. Whittni believes that if you work to address core beliefs, irrational thoughts, and negative behaviors you can be free to experience change, hope, and healing.
Whittni’s lifelong dream has been to work within the field of eating disorders. She is passionate about helping people learn to love themselves, challenge their thoughts, and be part of their recovery journey. She is excited to join the Sanford residential treatment team!
In her free time, Whittni enjoys spending time with her four children, husband, and dog. She also loves to do arts and crafts, yoga, and volunteer within the community
