Marcy Stellin
Chief Financial Officer
Marcy Stellin says, “Every role I have previously held, has been a stepping stone – leading me to this opportunity at Sanford. Ironically, my first job (and the place where I met my husband almost thirty years ago) was across the street from Sanford House at Cherry Street!” As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Marcy meets critical financial and professional challenges. And the client’s experience is at the core of her mission.
Marcy was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy. While working in public accounting, she specialized in the audits of financial institutions and earned her CPA designation. After public accounting, Marcy filled financial roles in various industries including: banking, architecture and design, commercial real estate development, residential construction and hospitality.
As CFO, Marcy is responsible for overseeing the financial and human resource initiatives of the company. Most importantly, she views her job as a “support position”. She serves the needs of the staff, so they can best serve the needs of Sanford clients.
In her free time, Marcy enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, Nick, Lilly and Sophie. She also enjoys entertaining, wake surfing, sailing, snow skiing and experiencing the four seasons to their fullest…
Marcy says, “It has been said that a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world. That is someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for. I hope and pray that each resident who enters our doors gains the courage and commitment that will yield a life free of addiction.”
