Physician Assistant
Brittne Heidelberg is a board-certified Physician Assistant who completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at Grand Valley State University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Case Western Reserve University as part of their inaugural class. During her graduate studies, Brittne spent time learning about substance use disorders at multiple Cleveland detoxification and residential facilities.
Prior to joining the Sanford team, Brittne spent three years practicing addiction medicine in West Michigan with an emphasis in outpatient medication-assisted treatment (MAT), utilizing both methadone and Suboxone for opioid use disorder. During this time, she also worked at additional facilities providing care at inpatient residential and detoxification programs for patients with various substance use disorders.
Brittne says, “I really enjoy meeting and getting to know our clients. Each person has their own unique background and perspective on addiction. I feel like I learn something new each time I meet a new client.”
In her free time, Brittne enjoys spending time with her family and pets, playing board games with friends, and trying new restaurants in the Grand Rapids area.
